Whether your pet suffers from a congenital condition, age-related bone disease or has been in an accident, Chestnut Arbor is dedicated to offering highly skilled orthopedic services for animals. We’ve partnered with Dr. Matt Richer, DVM DACVS to provide experienced orthopedic expertise when necessary.
As with all of our veterinary procedures, we work hard to eliminate the stress and anxiety you and your pet face with our Fear Free philosophy.

As with all of our veterinary procedures, we work hard to eliminate the stress and anxiety you and your pet face with our Fear Free philosophy.

Prior to an orthopedic surgery, we screen each animal to ensure they’re in sufficiently good overall health for the procedure. Once we’ve gotten the all-clear, we’ll place your pet under anesthesia, carefully monitoring their vital signs for any changes while they’re under. After the surgery is complete, one of our nursing staff members will provide hand recovery. Our hope is to make this process as comfortable for your pet as possible given the serious nature of these procedures.
Chestnut Arbor is equipped to handle routine and complex surgeries, including more advanced soft tissue surgeries such as splenectomy, cystotomy, c-section and gastrointestinal surgery. Our partnership with a board-certified veterinary surgeon allows us to offer a number of very advanced surgical procedures, including orthopedics, without the need for referral to a specialty center. This includes TPLO and FHO to alleviate pain and fracture repair in the event of a traumatic injury. If your pet requires surgery beyond these procedures, Chestnut Arbor will work with you to facilitate a referral to a trusted specialty care center.
